Materials:
3 mm crochet hook (for body, wings and tail)
white cotton yarn (I use Anchor Creativa Fino)
1,25 mm crochet hook (for the beak)
thin yellow or orange cotton yarn
black plastic beads for the eyes
a little piece of green tissue paper for the leaves
brown wire or a stick of wood
fiberfill for stuffing

sl st: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
dc: double crochet
sc2tog: single crochet decrease

FLO: front loop only
BLO: back loop only

Size: approx. 4 cm

The pattern is worked using the amigurumi method.
Work in a continuous spiral without closing off the round with a slip stitch.

Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) repeat 6 times [18]

Work the tail FLO in the decrease BLO of round 11.
1st st: ch, sc, hdc, dc

Fasten off and with a needle secure the cotton yarn tail

WINGS make 2
In a magic ring work: sc, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sc. Close the magic ring and fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing the wings on the body.

BEAK
Rnd 1: start 4 sc in magic ring [4]
Rnd 2: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next sc) repeat 2 times [6]
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing the beak.

Sew the plastic beads on the sides of the beak, colour the cheeks.
Crop 2 little leaves from the green tissue paper and glue them on the top of a piece of brown wire or a stick of wood.
Insert in the beak and if it’s necessary add some glue.

Lavorare la coda sulle maglie di diminuzione del giro 11
nella prima maglia: cat, mb, mma, ma

Tagliare e fermare i fili.

Ali x 2
Nel cerchio magico lavorare: mb, mma, ma, ma, mma, mb. Chiudere il cerchio magico e tagliare il filo lasciando una lunga coda per cucire le ali al corpo.

BECCO
Giro 1: 4 mb nel cerchio magico [4]
Giro 2: (mb, aum) ripetere 2 volte [6]
Tagliare il filo e lasciare una lunga coda per cucire il becco al corpo.

Fissare le perline ai lati del becco, colorare le guance.
Tagliare due piccole foglie dalla carta velina verde e incollare ad un’estremità del filo di ferro (o bastoncino).
Inserire quest’ultimo nel becco e se necessario assicurare con un punto di colla.
